It is not likely for me to bring everybody up to speed on the past year and a half in one posting. I plan to fill you in gradually. I have many stories to share; some funny, some not so funny.
I'm completely out of the Army now. I received my Honorable Discharge in March, 2009. I was supposed to be out December, 2008, but it's the Army and paperwork is not one of the Army's strong suits. I'm pretty happy to be a civilian, but I won't lie, I do miss it at times. As much as I complain about the Army, it gave me some of the best times of my life. On the flip side, I experienced some of the worst times of my life too. No where else in the world could I experience such a roller coaster of emotions (except parenthood).
Vicky, my daughter, is now 13months old. I could have put off motherhood forever, but I'm glad it happened when it did. Platoon Daddy and I are learning quite a bit about parenthood. I have to admit, I never found children nearly as amusing as I do now. They are much more enjoyable after you have your own.
I plan to post quite a bit in the next few weeks. I have a lot to tell you about, and a lot to get off my chest. I'm pretty happy that Val agreed to re-start the blog. I'm not nearly as angry as I was in Iraq, so the postings should be a bit more......pleasant.
