A Year Later

I realize that I haven't posted in forever, and I don't know how often I'll post. Val has a new blog (she always has some kind of blog going), but I hope she will still post. We actually have some opposing views on the "child" detainee in GTMO that is currently being tried. I'd love for Val to post something about this, and then maybe I will do a rebuttal or something like that.

As far as how I'm doing, pretty well. Baby #2, or baby #last, is on the way and should arrive mid-October. Kind of strange how the Army really helped me prep for some of the physical challenges of parenthood. I can get up and stay up all night long thanks to all that sleep deprivation training. Thanks Uncle Sam!

If you haven't heard, things are supposedly winding down in Iraq. We'll see. We're still in Kosovo and Korea for cryin' out loud and will probably be in all these locations for a very long time. I'm wondering when we can really see some large reduction in troop numbers in Iraq. 50,000 still over there. All the action is in Afghanistan right now. Things died down in Iraq because the party moved to Afghanistan. Same assholes, different turf.
